Well, the season opener is nearly here so I thought it was about time to get talking about the practices, qualifying and the race itself on Sunday! Post up links to photo galleries, interviews and useful information along with the chats about the racing.

I have a feeling it is going to be a season to remember!

I don't know if the track changes were absolutely vital but hopefully Bahrain will still be able to produce a fairly entertaining race.
Predictions for the race anyone?

The BBc have got some nice discussions with their team about various thigs this season on the bbc.co.uk/f1 website
Autosport is always good for interviews and already has some quotes from Hispania http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/81958

I think it will be after 2nd practice that we will all have a better idea of what's going to happen. We should see the cars as they will be in race condition and with any changes from testing. I really do think this will be a season to remember.

1st race for Massa since his freak accident in Hungary last year. I hope he can do well, i.e. win on Sunday.

I do expect McLaren and Ferrari fight for podiums. Sauber will be the surprise package.

Can't wait for the first corner.

Well 2nd practice didn't really shed any more light than 1st practice as to who will set the pace in qualifying.

Was amused to hear that Schumi was flapping at mechanics while Rosberg calmly and quietly beat him, sure that won't last for too long though!

I think Jenson could do well this weekend. Mclaren look really strong and I just think he'll be able to handle tyres better than Lewis at such a hot track.

Anyone know anything about the 60th Anniversary of F1 previous WDC parade thing? Is Kimi Raikkonen there or is he keeping his distance from F1?

Right, just time for supper then sleep before practice 3 - BBC red button is genius. Hope everyone is as excited as I am that it's all finally underway (lets just hope Chandok's car is ready in time!)

Saturday practice just ended, blog post to come on it shortly.

Feel gutted for Karun Chandhok having to sit out the Bahrain GP due to not setting 5 practice laps

Yeah it was a big shame for Chandhok but looking at the positives HRT have one car taking part and they have came a massive way so far.
